Project Description:

  • Spectroscopic studies (CW and time-resolved) of III-Nitride materials and devices, these includes:
    • InGaN films grown and InGaN/GaN P-I-N structures grown by MBE on lithium gallate (LGO),
    • InGaN based structures grown by MBE or MOVPE on sapphire.
  • Java applets simulations:
    Develop Java applets for device simulation (see java applets)
  • Data analysis software development:
    Develop Java application for streak camera image analysis
  • Data acquisition software development:
    Develop Linux based software for spectroscopic data acquisition

Investigation of nano-structure/device fabrication and characterization:
The project deals with the fabrication and characterization of nano-electronic devices, and develops novel methods to reduce nano-pattern size and pitch for a variety of applications using electron beam lithography.
