ASEE
A group of graduate and undergraduate students
from five different departments make up the SUNY Student Chapter
of the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) here at
UB.
ASEE is an organization commited to promote the excellence in engineering
education, technology, research, public service and practice (from
the ASEE mission statement).
Some of the benefits that the ASEE Student Chapter brings to both
graduate and undergraduate students are:
To inform, encourage and assist engineering students in:
1. The options and potential benefits af attending graduate school
(for undergraduates)
2. The potential advantages of an academic career
3. Improving of teaching and presentation skills
4. Development and/or enhancing of reasearch skills
5. Serve as a communication bridge between graduate and undegraduate
engineering students
We would accomplish all the mentioned benefits through a variety
of activities including but not limited to conferences, seminars,
workshops and newsletters.
